Accessibility statement
Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
We want everyone to be able to learn with CMX+ and CMX Pro, including people who use assistive technology. This statement covers the CMX+ and CMX Pro web app and the CMX+ iPhone app.
Our standard
We have built CMX+ and CMX Pro to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We know of one exception, listed under "Known limitations", so we describe the service as partially conformant with that standard.
What we have done
- Keyboard: you can move through the app with a keyboard. In lessons, the arrow keys move between cards.
- Visible focus: a clear focus indicator shows where you are on the screen.
- Screen readers: buttons, controls and cards have labels that screen readers announce.
- No swiping needed: every swipe has a button alternative.
- Reduced motion: if you have turned on Reduce Motion (or the equivalent setting on your device or in your browser), we reduce animation to match.
- Decorative images: illustrations that are purely decorative are hidden from screen readers, so they do not get in the way.
- Colour contrast: text and controls have sufficient contrast against their background.
- Text size: text resizes when you zoom in your browser or change the text size on your device.
Known limitations
- Certificate images: CMX Pro certificates are provided as images. The name, course and date are also available as text on each certificate's verification page.
We will update this statement as we make improvements.
Feedback and help
If you find anything hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please email hello@cmxai.co.uk. It helps if you tell us:
- the page or lesson you were on;
- what you were trying to do;
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use.
We aim to reply within 5 working days.
If you are in Great Britain and you are not happy with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service can give you free advice.
